Martinique Beach Provincial Park, Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore
Lounge on the five-kilometer stretch of white sand beach that makes up Martinique Beach Provincial Park. As the longest sand beach in the province, this is a haven for sunbathers, surfers and kayakers alike. Stroll along the water beachcombing or take a walk along the boardwalk. Spot the piping plover, as well as other migratory waterfowl in this protected wildlife refuge. The beach is supervised during the months of July and August; change houses are available. Park features include beachcombing, boardwalks and hard-surfaced paths. Martinique is a protected area for the piping plover, as well as a wildlife refuge for migratory waterfowl. Martinique Beach Provincial Park situated in East Petpeswick, 11 km /7 mi south of Musquodoboit Harbour in the Eastern Shore region. (From Halifax take either Highway 107 or 207 to Musquodoboit Harbour and turn right onto East Petpeswick Road.
