Fort Pickens Campground, Pensacola, Florida

The further you drive back on Fort Pickens Road in the Gulf Islands National Seashore, the further back it time it feels. The Fort Pickens Campground is located near Pensacola, Florida and has 200 campsites, ranging in length from 16 feet to 50 feet, and one group tent site. Sites in Loops A, C, & E are $40.00 a night with water, electricity, grills/fire rings, and picnic tables. Sites in Loops B & D are tent-only and $26.00 a night with grills/fire rings and picnic tables. Centralized water stations are located throughout Loops B & D. Restrooms and dump stations are nearby all sites.Campers (to include but not limited to individuals, groups, families) at the Fort Pickens Campground may stay no more than 42 days annually, and no more than 14 days during the campground's peak period of March 1 through Labor Day. All stays during the year are counted towards these limits. From Labor Day through the month of February, campers may stay up to 14 day increments with a 48 hour absence required.Bona-fide groups may reserve the group campsite at the Fort Pickens Campground for tent camping only. There is no electricity, and only tents are allowed. There are picnic tables, 2 grills, restrooms, outdoor showers (cold water only) and a large fire ring.The Fort Pickens Road can flood at anytime causing a closure of the road and campground. Alerts are posted at the top of this page and a hotline (850-934-2656) is updated when closures occur.
